The Day of Arafa - Patience الصبر لغة هو التَجَلَّدَ، التَحَمَّلَ، الاِحْتَمَالَ ، الانتظار في هدوء واطمئنان دون شكوى

As the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah quickly pass, they make their way to the day of arafah, the best day over which the sun rises. After which is the day of sacrifice. Oh Allah grant us all the day of Arafah, and grant us all in it Your contentment, forgiveness and patience. Patience is a word which, when we hear, we all feel difficulty and burden. It may remind us of Prophet Ayoub, whose name has become eternally linked with the word patience. Or we may think of Prophet Yaqub and his beautiful patience. Patience in language is being able to take on something, waiting while being calm and tranquil without complaint.
If we wrote about patience we would write volumes, but here we try to be brief and extract lessons:
As the Noble Quran is central to the life of a believer, I looked for mention of patience in the Quran, in which it was mentioned 93 times. Then I looked for how many times it can as a command verb and found that to be 23 time. All the commands of patience come as either the command of Dawah with patience, establishing worship, or working in the collective on the Dawah.
One time specifically commanded to have beautiful patience: “So endure this denial with beautiful patience.” (Maarij: 5)
Beautiful patience is patience without complaint and not finite until Allah brings relief.
It was in Allah’s eternal knowledge that a person who calls to Allah, wherever they may be, will face difficulty. His path will never be paved and made easy. Rather, it will be a path filled with roadblocks, challenges, and the personal harm that will come from the community.
The noble ayat which refer to the methods that help with patience, most important of which is tasbeeh (glorification; athkar of morning and evening). Then it mentions the stories of the Prophets and those who call to Allah from before:
“So be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say. And glorify the praises of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset, and glorify Him in the hours of the night and at both ends of the day, so that you may be pleased ˹with the reward˺.” (Taha: 130)
“Be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say. And remember Our servant, David, the man of strength. Indeed, he ˹constantly˺ turned ˹to Allah˺.” (Sad: 17)
“So be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say. And glorify the praises of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.” (Qaf: 39)
Then there’s the command of Allah to be patient that is connected to conviction that Allah’s victory will come and his true promise, which is also connected to tasbeeh and istighfar (seeking forgiveness):
“So be patient ˹O Prophet˺, ˹for˺ Allah’s promise is certainly true. Seek forgiveness for your shortcomings. And glorify the praises of your Lord morning and evening.” (Ghafir: 55)
“So be patient ˹O Prophet˺. Surely Allah’s promise is true. Whether We show you some of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die ˹before that˺, to Us they will ˹all˺ be returned.” (Ghafir: 77)
Then there’s the patience which reminds those who call to Allah with the constant presence of Allah. So be patient o person of Dawah and don’t tire of tasbeeh:
“So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are truly under Our ˹watchful˺ Eyes. And glorify the praises of your Lord when you rise.” (At-Tur: 48)
Last but not least, beware of leaving your brothers. Beware of separating from the righteous, those who remember Allah and call to Him, and do tasbeeh. Be patient with them:
“And patiently stick with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His pleasure.” (Al-Kahf: 28)
Oh Allah grant us beautiful patience and make us among the patient that are given their due reward beyond count.
لسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته جمعة مباركة….. ها هي عشر ذو الحجة تتسارع الخطى نحو يوم عرفة خير يومًا طلعت عليه الشمس ثم يتبعه يوم النحر و الفداء العظيم فاللهم بلغنا جميعا يوم عرفة وارزقنا جميعا فيه المغفرة و الرضوان
الصبر هذه الكلمة التي ما ان ذكرت نشعر جميعا بالمشقة و العنت لعلها تذكرنا بنبي الله ايوب اذ ارتبط اسمه عليه السلام بالصبر ارتباطا وثيقا او لعلها تذكرنا بنبي الله يعقوب عليه السلام وصبره الجميل ، والصبر لغة هو التَجَلَّدَ، التَحَمَّلَ، الاِحْتَمَالَ ، الانتظار في هدوء واطمئنان دون شكوى
لو اطلقنا القلم للكتابة عن الصبر لكتب المجلدات ولكن نحاول الاختصار والفائدة
ومع مركزية القران الكريم في حياة المسلم تتبعت كلمة الصبر ومشتقاتها في القران الكريم ، فوجدتها تكررت ٩٣ مرة ثم تتبعت كم مرة ورد كلمة الصبر في صيغة الامر (اصبر) فوجدتها تكررت ٢٣ مرة، كل اوامر الصبر تلك اتربطت بامر الدعوة والصبر علي الدعوة وتبليغها او الصبر علي إقامة العبادة أو الصبر علي العمل الجماعي للدعوة
و منها تفصيلا مرة ورد الامر بالصبر الجميل { فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا ﴿5 المعارج﴾ } الصبر الجميل هو صبر بلا جذع ولا شكوي وغير محدود المدة حتي ياتي الفرج
لما كان في علم الله الازلي ان الداعية ايما كان سوف يلاقي العنت والمشقة ولن يكون طريق دعوته سهلا ممهدا إنما سيكون طريق تملأه العقبات والتحديات والفتن والاذي النفسي الذي قد يصيب الداعية من المجتمع
كانت تلك االايات الكريمات التي اشارت الي بعض من الوسائل المعينة علي الصبر اهمها علي الاطلاق التسبيح (اذكار الصباح والمساء) ثم تذكر قصص الانبياء والدعاة من قبل
فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا ۖ وَمِنْ آنَاءِ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ ﴿130 طه﴾
اصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ ۖ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ ﴿17 ص﴾
فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ ﴿39 ق﴾
ثم كان الامر للدعاة بالصبر المرتبط بالثقة في نصر الله ووعده الحق ،المرتبط ايضا بالتسبيح و الاستغفار
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ ﴿55 غافر)
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ ﴿77 غافر﴾
ثم كان الامر بالصبر المرتبط بتذكير الدعاة بمعية الله الدائمة التي لاتنفك عنهم فـاصبر ايها الداعية وايضا لا تنفك عن التسبيح
وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ﴿48 الطور﴾
واخرا وليس اخيرا ايها الداعية اياك ان تترك يد اخوانك واياك ان تفارق الصالحين الذاكرين ،الداعين لله ، المسبحين واصبر عليهم واصبر معهم
وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ ﴿٢٨ الكهف﴾
وقد يكون لنا مع الصبر وقفات اخري قريبا
فاللهم ارزقنا صبرا جميلا واجعلنا من الصابرين الذين يوفون اجرهم بخير حساب
