WIA Vision
WIA believes in raising the standards of education through the implementation of Islamic studies. The Academy is striving to develop outstanding students who will be role models for future generations in achieving academic excellence and Islamic life-style.
Goals and Objectives
At WIA, students will:
- Learn, Implement, and use Islam in their personal life.
- Develop a strong Muslim identity, based on the Qur’an and Sunnah, in order to build self-confidence and perseverance to succeed in this life and the Hereafter.
- Sharpen critical thinking skills, ingenuity, and motivation to excel in their academic and professional careers.
Curriculum
WIA utilizes the Virginia’s Standards of Learning (SOL) and Fairfax County Public School’s Curriculum by using innovative educational materials, resources, and teaching techniques. Our curriculum incorporates specialized Arabic, Qur’an, and Islamic Studies
Academic Achievements:
With the Grace of Allah, Washington Islamic Academy has made tremendous progress since its inception 5 years ago. Within WIA’s nurturing educational environment, its students have surpassed the national average in standardized testing and have succeeded in developing strong Muslim identities; that will help make them a role model to society.
