The Blessed Month of Ramadan

All praise is to Allah (SWT) and His blessings are on the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH).

Our dear respected brothers and sisters, Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatu Allah, peace be upon you.

Congratulations to all of us on the occasion of living to witness the blessed month of Ramadan. We would like to encourage every brother and sister to increase their efforts during this great month, for it is indeed a great blessing that we must celebrate and take advantage of, so we may be among the successful and righteous people during this month. We urge everyone to strive hard toward attaining that spirit, and to plan for it.

It is essential to recognize the merits of this great month and the importance of early and sincere repentance; it is essential to strive to purify our character and spirit and to acknowledge the importance of sharing the blessings of this month with our families and fellow citizens.

In our humble attempt to inspire such feelings, values and understanding amongst our beloved community in the Washington, DC metro area, we are proud to present a series of educational and motivational reflections on the month of Ramadan featuring Imam Suhaib Webb, Dr. Imad Bayoun, Imam Marwan Marouf, Muslema Purmul and Mohammad Aftab Diwan entitled In the Shade of Ramadan. The series, thirty episodes divided into three parts: Mercy, Forgiveness and Salvation, is the first joint video production between MAS Youth and MAS Media. Enjoy, and Ramadan Mubarak!
