MAS Cub-Scouts Receive Bismillah Emblem,Webelos Graduate to Scouts in Bridging Ceremony

MAS DC Cub scout leaders, cub scouts and families celebrated the end

of a year which was filled with great learning experiences, adventure and fun all within a strong nurturing Islamic environment. At the end of the year celebration Webelos crossed a Bridge to symbolize the transition from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Imam Johari awarded the Bismillah emblem to 14 scouts who have fulfilled the requirements for the award. Imam Johari commended the boys for their hard work and encouraged the scouts to work hard, learn something new every day, be exemplary citizens and live the true meaning of Islam.

Cub Scouts Meet Here!

Cub Scouting means “doing.”
Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things.

Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.

Joining an Islamic Pack adds much more to cub scouting . Pack 860 provides a nurturing Islamic environment stressing the importance of being both exemplary Muslims and citizens..

Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a boy’s sense of belonging.
